MetaDronos - born in 1981.
MD performed his first music experiments in early childhood,
using reel-to-reel tape recorder and the old radio.
During the next years his experiments advanced, involving
more sophisticated homemade hardware, until the first use of a PC
to process sound.
Abandoning hardware, MD focused exclusively on a computer music creation,
and what started as a time-to-time hobby became more serious,
when he began to build a collection of dedicated software,
while continuously experimenting with the sound and music.
His current sound is based on a deep, dark sounds and ambiences
and long, slowly evolving drones.
He experiments a lot, so his music can evolve as well.

❤️My original plan was to go through and buy individual tracks like I do with most compilation albums, but honestly there are just so many good ones that I wound up buying the whole thing. More than simple drones (though there are plenty of those, too), this album collects many of the best and most innovative dark ambient artists in one place, including many who are new to me. A must-have for any dark ambient fan's collection. Plushie Fanatic

If you are a usual player of The Long Dark or The Hunter Call of the Wild in the Medved Taiga reserve, you will probably understand why I like these five winter themed albums so much. If you also have a special place in your heart for The Wendigo by Algernon Blackwood... same thing. Very ominous themes which translate very well the dangerous isolation and cold of winter.
